High Temperature
Inspection scope solutions designed for high temperature environments.
Considerations for designing scopes to withstand elevated temperatures.
High temperature inspection applications require scope designs that can withstand extended exposure to extreme heat while maintaining optical performance. Zibra Corp has experience manufacturing both flexible and rigid high temperature scopes tailored to these demanding environments.
Flexible high temperature probes can be constructed for use up to approximately 600°F, depending on application specifics. While capable of navigating complex insertion paths, their lifespan is reduced by continuous bending. For best results, flexible probes perform optimally in applications where movement is limited and the scope remains relatively static during operation.
Rigid high temperature scopes offer greater durability and design flexibility. Cooling methods can be more easily applied, and they can be built using relay lens systems for maximum resolution. When used without cooling in temperatures above approximately 400°F, these scopes must be designed without optical cement joints to prevent heat-related degradation. This approach ensures longer operational life while maintaining image clarity, even in environments where airborne debris is present.
Zibra Corp customizes each high temperature scope to match the thermal, environmental, and optical requirements of the inspection application, ensuring dependable performance under challenging conditions.
