ARTICULATING VIDEOSCOPE

Milliscope HDX

High Resolution Articulating Micro Videoscope in 1.1 & 1.6 mm

Product Description

The Milliscope HDX is a high-resolution articulating micro video borescope engineered for precision inspection in confined, hard-to-reach spaces. Designed to connect seamlessly with the Milliscope HD base unit, it delivers two-way ±170° tip articulation in probe diameters as small as 1.1 mm and 1.6 mm, bringing steerable video inspection to passages too small for conventional articulating scopes.

About This Item

The Milliscope HDX is a purpose-built articulating micro videoscope that brings steerable, high-resolution remote visual inspection to spaces most scopes cannot reach. Its defining feature is two-way ±170° tip articulation, letting inspectors steer the camera around bends and internal geometry a fixed-tip probe would miss. A miniature 160,000-pixel CMOS sensor paired with Zibra Corp’s optics delivers detailed video over HDMI, with image and video capture to USB, no external computer required.

With probe diameters of just 1.1 mm and 1.6 mm and lengths up to 1.0 meter, the Milliscope HDX is among the smallest articulating videoscopes available, reaching confined spaces where conventional articulating borescopes are too large to enter. That makes it well suited to aerospace and turbine work, including the cooling holes and internal passages of turbine blades, as well as precision inspection across manufacturing and energy. Each probe uses durable shape memory metal sheathing built for repeated use.

In use, the steerable tip is what sets the HDX apart, articulating ±170° in two directions to follow a bend, square up to a surface, or hold a target in view in real time. Inspectors retain full control of illumination and exposure through the adjustable LED, auto and manual exposure modes, push-button 90° image rotation, and on-screen display of all camera settings.

As part of Zibra Corp’s modular Milliscope platform, the HDX runs on the same Milliscope HD base unit as the HDV videoscope and fiberscope handle, so one system covers articulating video, standard video, and fiber inspection. Probes interchange in seconds. Designed, built, and serviced in the USA by a manufacturer with 40+ years in small-diameter optics, the HDX pairs articulation with the resolution and durability demanding inspection requires.
